Many individuals call or email asking whether it's best to start as an Agent rather than start with their own company. There is no correct answer because it depends.
I answer their question with another question: Do you want to help someone build THEIR business or do you want to build YOURS?
There are pros and cons either way but most of my clients want to become fully self-employed.
Now, most of my competitors will say, Start as an Agent. However, they are motivated by recruiting Agents to their own brokerage or to an affiliated company's brokerage. So, they are motivated more by fulfilling their needs rather than giving the person an objective comparison.
