You want to record company names, primary contacts, phone numbers, addresses, types of trucks used if it is a shipper, type of cargo being shipper, days to pay, an area to add notes, plus whatever other important information you want to collect and track.
Once you build a solid database, you want to use it, analyze it, get familiar with each component, protect it and treat it as your goldmine. Because without a database of customers and carriers, you don't have anything.
