Things have been slow for the industry. No doubt about it. Yet, almost every week I hear stories of those pushing on and succeeding despite all the uncertainty. Yes, I believe it is the uncertainty that is smacking many others, and especially some business owners, in the face.
However, many savvy business owners push on without having a 100% clear picture of what is going to happen. They understand that most businesses operate without 20/20 vision. You study and analyze the landscape, make adjustments where needed, get prepared and then continue forward with a clear plan of action despite all the uncertainty.

Right now I'm living the American dream. I'm sitting in an Italian restaurant in El Paso, Texas sipping a glass of red wine (I heard it's good for the heart, etc.) as I "work" on my laptop. listening to piped in music - "When the moon hits your eye like a big piece of pie .... ". (Yes, sometimes I'm at a Mexican restaurant too doing the same thing but with Mexican music).
And I'm excited! I'm pumped!
No, it's not the wine. It's my reflection on what I have personally been doing for seven years and what I plan to do for many years to come. I have many plans, many dreams and they will take place. If not, I'm still living the American dream.
